Dangerous goods

Dangerous goods are transported according to the Memorandum of Understanding for the Transport of Packaged Dangerous Goods in the Baltic Sea (Østersøaftalen) and must be reported to the Freight Department before departure:

No later than 2 hours before departure on AlsFærgen, FanøFærgen and LangelandsFærgen
No later than 24 hours before departure on SamsøFærgen

1)
Dangerous goods declaration
The declaration must be completed and sent to the Freight Department by e-mail (gods@faergen.dk) on weekdays between 06.00 AM – 08.00 PM

2)
CTU packing certificate
The certificate must be completed and signed by the person who is responsible for loading the transport unit. The certificate must be submitted when driving on board.

3)
Dangerous goods certificate
Must be completed and signed by the driver. The certificate must be submitted when driving on board.

LQ Goods (dangerous goods in limited quantities)

Dangerous goods in limited quantities must be declared with:

  • Danger Category
  • UN number
  • Quantity in kg
  • Proper shipping name
  • Packing Group

The truck/trailer must be marked with an orange warning sign in front and back.
