Securing loads

The vehicle must have lashing mountings for securing to the ship. The freight must be sufficiently well lashed and secured to withstand the movements which may occur during transport by sea. The haulier/driver is responsible for ensuring that the load is properly lashed and secured to his own vehicle. The chief officer has the final say concerning loads/lashings, or whether the load should be refused. No liquids must drip from the vehicles.

Oil burners etc.

Due to air pollution and safety reasons, it is not permitted to have oil burners, diesel engines etc. running on the vehicle deck during the crossing.  

Depositing trailers in Køge

On weekdays, trailers may be placed in the trailer area for shipment on the next departure. It is not permitted to place trailers in the area which are not booked to be shipped on the next departure. Trailers which are placed in the trailer area which are not booked to be shipped on the next departure will be removed and transported to the nearest available public parking space.

For weekend departures, trailers may be placed in the trailer area from and including Friday.

For departures on public holidays, trailers may be placed in the trailer area from and including the last weekday before the public holiday.

The trailer area in Køge has limited capacity. Therefore, after driving into the trailer area in Køge, trailers must be placed on the right alongside the hall in the first available trailer box.

Collecting trailers in Køge

Trailers arriving with the ferry from Rønne on weekdays must be collected from the trailer area before 12.00 noon. Trailers which are not collected by this time will be removed and transported to the nearest available public parking space.

Trailers arriving with the ferry from Rønne at the weekend must be collected from the trailer area before 12.00 noon on Monday. Trailers which are not collected by this time will be removed and transported to the nearest available public parking space.

Trailers arriving with the ferry from Rønne on public holidays must be collected from the trailer area before 12.00 noon on the following weekday. Trailers which are not collected by this time will be removed and transported to the nearest available public parking space.

Cars without drivers

On the Køge route, BornholmerFærgen is able to transport cars without drivers. It is always necessary to make a reservation for the car as there are only a limited number of places.

Car delivery and collection must take place at specific times.

In Rønne

• The time for delivery is decided by agreement with the Freight Department. The car must be collected on the day it arrives in Rønne and within the service centre's opening hours

In Køge

• The time for delivery is decided by agreement with the Freight Department. The car must collected no later than the day after it arrives in Køge and within the service centre's opening hours

Tickets must be booked with the Freight Department, which is open weekdays 06.00-18.00.
